Hello everyone
I’m hoping to order some fairings for Milia next month. For those of you who have not met Milia, she is my 2009 CBR1000RR.
Does anyone have any recommendations or experience they can share? Any particular company you would recommend?
I know cheap fairings aren’t good and good fairings aren’t cheap, and I’m looking for recommendations based on quality not cost.
Thanks in advance

Occasionally I see used fairings posted on CL, and of course eBay.
Also I joined a bike-specific forum (for me, it's fz09.org)... but you might consider joining a cbr forum, where all the cbr enthusiasts hang out!! Good luck!

Excellent idea Jen!! It helped me by joining a Ninja 250 forum when I first started.

Aftermarket are going to be hit and miss, most aren't great. OEM is the best way to go, but can be costly. If you can find someone converting a street bike to a track bike that can often be your best bet.

Kim,
When I was rebuilding Madonna I was lucky enough to find a complete set of fairings with 0 miles on them from someone who decided to buy an MV and put a set of racing fairings on. It may have just been luck, but if you keep your eye on Ebay long enough, you may find someone with a deal such as I got. As far as 3rd party fairings go, I've often heard that most of them need some modification to get them to fit properly. It just takes some effort to tweak them into proper shape to get all the fasteners properly seated.
I'm sure we'll all be happy to pitch-in if you go for it and need some helping hands. At least I'll be happy to do what I can to make it work.
