why am I here?

#1 Post by Butch » Mon Jun 11, 2007 1:27 pm

because you guys post on Barf and you invited us on your ride...

Budman introduced me to Barf some years ago and I have a pretty fun time hanging with the youngsters. My first bike was a Bonanza mini bike with a 2.5 HP Briggs and Stratton lawnmower engine, back in the day. I had one minibike with a Hodaka engine, if that means anything to any of you. Just dating myself. One thread on Barf we tried to list all the bikes we've had.

I currently have a R6, RZ350 and a KTM 250mxc, and three skateboards.

Looking forward to doing stuff with y'all in the future!

3 skateboards? Where do they fit in? Are you a mad man in an emptied-out swimming pool and simply not telling us about it?

Glad you're here Butch, and look forward to learning a thing or two from you!

Hi Butch! Welcome to the site. I'm glad you came out to ride with us but I'm not sure if we got to meet since I don't remember anyone with your name but hopefully next time you'll march right up and say "put 'er there!"

Thank you ladies.

I wanted to point out that I had three skateboards to illustrate that my maturity level is not commensurate with my age. Fortunately, my responsibilities are not either.

Unfortunately my free time is… and too many hobbies. I don’t get to ride enough.

This weekend I have to go mountain biking at Downieville. Poor me.

I’ll watch your site and maybe comment occasionally.

Anytime you want to ride up Mt Hamilton Road, I’ll join you!

Welcome Butch!
Hey! I think I remember you. Weren't you the one wearing the leather jacket on the ride? (Just kidding)
Is the fact that I know what a Hodaka is, a sign that I'm getting old?
Just to show you that you're not alone, I have a skateboard, rollerblades, and a Razor Scooter in my closet. Ok... the Scooter is my son's, but I'm too young to act old. Maybe that's why I like to ride motorcycles.

Hi again! I kinda forgot about your site. It seems I haven’t posted here in years. Oops.
I have been really busy since I quit my job a few years ago. The political assualts upon our OHV areas are pretty time consuming. I got an Alta Electric dirtbike, so I am involved with that community now too.

Do any of you guys ride dirtbikes?

PS, BARF has a “ladies only” forum now. I have no idea what goes on in there ‘cause they won’t let me play.

Hi Butch!

This is Jen. I joined in 2013 - not sure if we've met before!

Our newest prospect Tara and her fiance both dirtbike. They live in the north bay.

I'm in the ladies forum! And we just talk about boys ALL DAY LONG. ;)

Take care!!

Hey butch!!

Boy oh boy, you’ve been absent so long from this forum that I’ve come and gone as an active member. I do have Emeritus status now with me being in Costa Rica and will be a member again the minute if ever I was to move back to the states.

Yes, the OHV parks are in big trouble!! We, my ex-husband and I, saw that coming back when we went to them all as our sons were growing up and we camped and while the boys raced dirt bikes. I still rode dirt when I could and will be doing more enduro riding here in CR.

I did quite a few BARF rides back in 2010/2011 and am not sure if we ever met.

Welcome back to the forum and may you enjoy your Alta Electric Dirtbike
