Greetings from San Jose

#1 Post by stinklevoss » Wed May 02, 2012 6:36 am

Hello!

I'm looking forward to going on group rides and track days with you ladies. I met with Kelly (Special K) yesterday and she got me excited about the group and convinced me to get leather pants for street riding :) Any recommendations?

Oh, people ask about "stinklevoss" a lot - it's just my motorcycle's nickname, and it's one of those nicknames that don't really mean anything...

Happy riding!
-Tram

This is stellar, Tram! We have another new girl coming out from San Jose this Sunday also. Her name is Annette on the forum. You two gals should hook up so you can roll out to the SJ meet spot together.

Heather, Tiffany, Kelly - Can you jump in on this one too pretty please? Looks like you'll have a nice little crew rollin' out from SJ Sunday morning.

I won't be rolling out from San Jose on Sunday morning. I am going to Patty A's house on Saturday morning and we are attending MotoJam at Sears Point.

Spending the night at her place on Sat night. In the sweep truck or driving my car on Sunday. :(

I'm pumped! I know I will regret it if I don't go. Kelly, John is telling me that I should DEFINITELY go! He's excited that I've found other women to ride with. I can't wait to meet everybody :D

Hi Tram, and welcome to the forum!
My experience with leathers is that it's not so much your regular pant size, but your stature. First pair I bought were definitely not designed for someone who's 5'9". It's best to try them on in a shop that has a bike you can swing your leg over and sit on.

You are teeny! I asked size because I have a pair of leather pants I am selling but they are probably closer to a size 8-10.

Look for Dainese..they run teeny! Really..what Wren said...go and try on different brands. Go to Road Rider in San Jose..they had a selection of ladies gear.

Welcome to CU, Tram!

This month's ride is one of the best, you'll enjoy it. I won't be there due to a family commitment, but I look forward to meeting you in the future.

I'm looking forward to meeting you all! Blargh, I had family obligations that were originally cancelled, but now might be un-cancelled for Sunday, so there is a chance I might not make it. Will keep you gals updated. If I can't make it to this next ride, I will come out in June! Any idea where June's ride might be?

Yes, I hope I can make it! I know, it's gorgeous up there. I come up at least once a month to escape from the South Bay. I bet it's breathtaking to experience it all on a motorcycle!
